The focus of our life is Sunday ‘Worship for All’ at 10.30am. Very occasionally, it is necessary to change the time of services or even (e.g. for United Services) the venue. Please check the notice board or contact us to be on the safe side.
In our worship, we seek: to meet God through our love for Jesus; to equip ourselves, by listening to God’s Word, to live for Christ, and; to bring our own and others’ needs, as well as the needs of the world, before God in prayer.
Holy Communion is important to us and is celebrated once a month.
We also offer baptisms, weddings (including same-sex) and funerals by arrangement with the minister Rev Andrew Farrington (andrew.farrington@methodist.org.uk/07985 308637) or contact us for details.
Although we do not presently offer children’s activities on Sunday, children are always made welcome.
Services are led by our own minister, Rev Andrew Farrington, but also, in time-honoured Methodist fashion, by other preachers, ordained and lay, from around the Circuit.
We are always looking to develop our pattern of worship to make sure that what we offer meets people’s needs and is helpful and accessible to all ages. Approximately once a month, we enjoy an informal Cafe Church at 10.30am with coffee and chat over a Bible passage, prayers and worship songs, and the best croissants and cakes in town!
Singing the Faith, the Methodist Church’s new song collection, which we now use regularly, is enriching our worship and enlarging our understanding of the faith.
