Christmas 2015

For 2015, our Carol Service on 22 December took the form of a Songs of Praise with Carols instead of hymns chosen there and by members of the congregation. This provided an interesting and enjoyable mix, all played by Gill, our organist, at sight, without a hiccup! We are grateful to her for her flexibility.

Greenfingered Great Glen

On two consecutive Monday evenings, a team of intrepid horticulturists tackled the church grounds, pruning, weeding and tidying as necessary.

Isn’t it amazing how quickly gardens grow into jungles? Huge quantities of vegetation disappeared to the tip.

Treasure Hunt

Linda and John Warner recently organised a Treasure Hunt (on foot!) and supper which proved to be a very enjoyable night out.

The winning team was ‘Emily and the Wrinklies.’

As well as having a good time, Christian Aid benefitted to the tune of £150.

Sparklers Get Toddling!

‘Sparklers’ have taken part in the Dr Barnardo’s Big Toddle. It was a lovely day and they toddled down to the recreation ground and played happily before toddling back again.

This was a sponsored outing and the money raised will go to support Barnardo’s work with under-privileged under 5s.
